Daren knows the world before the internet and first went online long before Google became a verb.
He holds a Bachelor’s in Computer Science, a Master’s in Entrepreneurship, and is currently pursuing postgraduate studies in Digital Transformation.

He has spent the past 15+ years talking to students, teachers, and parents about how to stay safe, smart, and kind online. Through CyberSafeTT, the non-profit he founded, he has had the privilege of reaching over 35,000 young people and 5,000 educators across Trinidad and Tobago and beyond; from Grenada to Barbados and Jamaica and to Canada, Italy, Spain and Australia.

By day, he works in IT and digital transformation at the UWI, but his real passion is helping to navigate the digital world safely; whether it’s dealing with cyberbullying, understanding digital footprints, or tackling internet addiction.

At the heart of it all, he believes technology should empower, not endanger, the core message behind everything CyberSafeTT stands for.
